Oh look at me, two blog posts in one day! I was originally going to put this one in with my previous post but I figured that it should just hold the birthday party stuff.
So, this story starts off with Kenzie and I ordering these bracelets in the beginning of the month. It's through this site here. It's called BFF. And you pay $10 dollars (plus shipping and handling) for a BFF bracelet and then they ship you this bracelet and give an identical one to a member of the military and through their online site you get a BAFF (Best Armed Forces Friend) and you communicate through the site with them.
I finally got my bracelet in yesterday. (Kenzie's still isn't in yet.) And it took forever! We were checking the mail like addicts while we were waiting for it. I'm starting to get a little worried though.
I registered my bracelet and signed up for my account and whatnot. And all the "recent" posts I'm seeing are people calling this whole thing a scam and that they're still not matched after waiting a long time, and one even said that they don't have a BFF anymore and that their old BFF got a new BFF.
I'm really hoping people are just jumping to wild conclusions. But the more I looked through the site, the more it started to make sense. In the "recent" section there were posts that were dated last year.
I'm really hoping that people just went inactive. And I'm hoping that they just got really backlogged with sending the matching bracelets and matching people. Plus mail to get to a soldier takes FOREVER.
I still think this could turn out well. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I watch the world through big, brown eyes. I ask more questions than a six year old. I live in a big city and have even bigger dreams. I'm probably not as funny as I think I am.
