First, Russell has me sending him a picture of me for everyday he's gone. Apparently today's picture is his favorite so far so I'm just going to leave it here:
I like the editing I did on it :) I love my little photo editing app on my phone.
To my surprise, today turned out to be better than I thought it would be. With getting home at 5AM and then having to be up by 3PM so I could get ready for work, I definitely expected today to be one of my "ugh, can this day just be over already?" days. But as I said, it turned out way better than I thought it would.
Kenzie woke me up 45 minutes before my alarm was going to go off by opening my blinds (my side of the bed is right next to the window) bringing light into my little dungeon of a bedroom and told me to wake up because I needed to go get U-Swirl with her and her dad. I wanted more sleep so I told her no. But I was already up. I couldn't fall back asleep, plus the puppy kept running around my bed. So then we hung out in my bed talking about random stuff until my alarm went off and I had to hop in the shower.
We got ready and went up to the gas station so I could get soda to bring to work and hung out at Barnes and Noble while we waited for her dad to pick us up. We got to U-Swirl and Kenzie tried to force me to try pumpkin flavored yogurt. I wasn't having it. I'm not a big fan of anything pumpkin flavored. I'm also not a big fan of trying any sort of food that I don't already like.
Kenzie's dad drove me to work. I still love my job but I definitely thought this shift was going to drag on. But everybody who was working was in a good mood. One of my managers agreed to get me Wendy's. One of my other bosses called me and talked to me about a couple things that make me feel good about the future. And my shift isn't dragging on.
Definitely turning out better than I expected.

I watch the world through big, brown eyes. I ask more questions than a six year old. I live in a big city and have even bigger dreams. I'm probably not as funny as I think I am.
